ABWA History

Submitted by admin on

The American Business Women’s Association (ABWA) was established in 1949 by Kansas City businessman, Hilary Bufton, Jr. and three Kansas City businesswomen to give women access to leadership, networking, and recognition opportunities—the three basic elements of career achievement. Unlike profession-specific associations, ABWA is a professional organization for women in all stages of their careers and in all professions. Members include everyone from teachers and administrative assistants to CEOs and small-business owners.
