The benefits of belonging to an association boasting more than 60 years of changing women’s lives are limitless. Enjoy the following features of your membership that will help you make the most of your ABWA experience.

Professional Development: ABWA’s goal is to deliver real-life coursework that is directly transferable to the workplace. The Association provides members with opportunities to enhance their business skills through online learning, national and regional conference events, and monthly meetings. Community Connections is an interactive, online community providing members with an exclusive opportunity to network and access e-learning modules. All members receive Women in Business© magazine, ABWA’s award-winning publication that includes topics of high interest to working women and high relevance to the Association’s mission.

Annual Regional and National Events: Members have the opportunity to experience the benefits of ABWA at both the regional and national conferences. Professional development seminars include programs in leadership and technology, management, entrepreneurial skills, and more. Attendees of the annual national conference may choose from a variety of programs designed to leverage their careers and empower personal growth.

Education Opportunities: ABWA’s educational fund has four different scholarship programs to support women in their pursuit of knowledge: National Scholarship, Outright Grant, Business Skills Tuition Reimbursement, and Impact Scholarship. Each scholarship program has a unique set of guidelines, applicant eligibility requirements, and procedures.

National Recognition: As professional women, we don’t always get the accolades we deserve. But, in ABWA, we’ve made recognition a cornerstone of the membership experience. Annually, ten women are recognized as The Top Ten Business Women of ABWA for their professionalism, education, and community involvement, and one woman is chosen by her peers as The American Business Woman of ABWA. ABWA’s leading Chapters and Express Networks are recognized for their team’s performance in the areas of programming, networking, and business management. Best Practices is awarded to our top teams each fall at the National Women’s Leadership Conference.

The Inner Circle features members dedicated to sharing the mission of ABWA with other women. ABWA recognizes members who have recruited at least 11 new members.
